Thank you to everyone who joined us to make our
4th Annual Big Celebration a huge success! Over 500 "Bigs", "Littles", families, donors and supporters came out to Brandi Fenton Memorial Park for a wonderful day of fun, enjoying facepainting, games, food, and great music provided by Night DJ Mix. The heartwarming awards ceremony had many of the audience in tears and was testament to how our one-to-one mentoring program is changing children’s lives for the better.

This event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Pima County Attorney Barbara La Wall, and Cox Communications. Cox also provided fantastic volunteers who helped keep the event running smoothly - thank you so much for your help! Changing how our children grow up in Tucson!

Big Brothers Big Sisters has been the nation’s preeminent youth-service organization for nearly a century. Locally, we have provided high quality mentoring services since 1963! We have a proven success in creating lifelong impact through mentoring relationships between adults and children.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is more than just a good deed, it is a wise investment in our community’s future. Just by spending time with a child, mentors create a positive impact in their life and help guide them to a better future.

It Works!

Youth involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are:

More likely to avoid using illegal drugs or alcohol
Less likely to skip school
More confident of their performance in school
More trusting of their parents/guardians and more likely to be honest with them

Our service is based on our volunteers. A Big Brother or Big Sister is a one-to-one mentor to a child. They share everyday activities, expand horizons, and experience the joy in even the simplest of activities. Just a few hours a month can change the life of a child.
